Buying a used boat can be intimidating if you are not sure what you are looking for. Am I getting a good deal? Is there anything wrong with it? Can we trust the people were getting it from? We approach things a little differently than most dealers.

First question we ask ourselves is “would I be happy if someone treated me this way?” If at anytime the answer is no, we have not done our job and are wrong. We want all three parties to be satisfied. The buyer who will be our long-term customer, the seller who has been our customer, and ourselves who wants to continue to enjoy a successful relationship with both.

We always encourage the buyer to get an independent survey done by a certified maritime surveyor. The surveyor actually works for the buyer and has their interests at heart. The cost depends on the size, complexity, and time it takes to complete. We don’t like surprises anymore than you do.

We don’t just sell the boat and say here it is. After a deposit is established. We will have the boat in the water, up and running, checked by a technician, and an acceptance/orientation ride given. This ensures the buyer and ourselves that the boat will operate as expected, all systems and there operations are explained, and that the buyer is completely satisfied.

Please understand we are a brokerage agent for the owner. We do not own the boats or take trade-ins. We want both parties to be satisfied, but in the end the owner of the boat decides final price and terms for sale.
